The strategy

Systematic income from
options you already understand.

For every option contract someone buys, a seller collects the premium. This guide is about being the seller — the side that wins 80% of the time and holds capital you were already comfortable with.

01 Cash-secured puts. Get paid to promise to buy stocks you already want, at prices you already like. Assignment is fine. That's the point.
02 Covered calls. Sell upside on shares you already own. Collect premium monthly. Keep the shares or let them go at a profit you set.
03 The Wheel. Run both back-to-back on the same stock. Every phase generates income. No idle periods.
04 LEAPs. A few times a year, when five conditions align, buy a long-dated call. The one speculative bet the strategy allows.
"

The buyer is betting against the clock. The seller is the clock.

Who this is for

Built for working professionals,
not full-time traders.

You have a brokerage account with capital that isn't working hard
You already own quality stocks and want to generate income from them
You want rules to follow, not tips to evaluate
You're comfortable with the idea of owning more shares of stocks you like
You can realistically commit 30 minutes per week
This is not for you if
You're looking for a get-rich-quick system or fast profits
You can't tolerate any drawdowns or occasional assignment
You want to day-trade or speculate on short-term price direction
You'd rather just buy VOO and never think about it — that's genuinely a great choice

About this guide

Written from
actual trades, not theory.

Every rule in this guide was paid for in real money. The seven mistakes chapter in particular — those all happened. The premiums were real, the assignments were real, the recoveries were real. This isn't a cleaned-up academic treatment of options strategy.

The goal was to write the guide I couldn't find when I started: honest about what doesn't work, specific about what does, and short enough that you can actually read the whole thing on a Saturday morning and place your first trade that week.

It's not for everyone. If you'd genuinely rather buy an index fund and never think about your brokerage account, the last page of Part One says so explicitly and tells you to close the guide. That kind of honesty is either a feature or a bug, depending on who you are.

If you're still reading, the strategy is worth your time.

FAQ

Common questions.

How much capital do I need to start? +
The strategy is modular. If you already own 100+ shares of any quality stock, you can start selling covered calls today — no new capital required. If you have cash in a brokerage account, you can run cash-secured puts. There's no minimum other than what's needed to back a single put position, which varies by the stock you choose. Lower-priced stocks (or ETFs like SPY) require less collateral.
Is $39 worth it? +
A single trade running this strategy — one 30-day cash-secured put on a quality stock — typically generates $150–$600 in premium. At the low end, the guide pays for itself in the first week. More practically: just avoiding one of the seven mistakes in Chapter 12 (going too large, holding too long, ignoring earnings) is worth multiples of $39. You'll decide in 20 minutes if it's right for you.
Can I do this in my Roth IRA? +
Most of the strategy works in IRAs — cash-secured puts and covered calls are typically permitted at Level 2 options approval, which most brokerages allow in IRAs. The rules vary by brokerage. Check your specific custodian before trading. Selling naked options (which this guide does not use) would not be permitted in an IRA.
What if I've never traded options before? +
Chapter 2 covers everything you need in about ten minutes — strike, expiration, premium, delta, and IV Rank. That's the complete vocabulary. Chapter 11 gives you a week-by-week 30-day plan that starts with paper-trading before touching real money. Absolute beginners are the target audience. This was written assuming you know nothing about options.
What brokerage do I need? +
Chapter 9 has step-by-step click-paths for Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, and Interactive Brokers. Any of the four works. Fidelity or Schwab are the best starting points. You'll need to apply for Level 2 ("Cash-Secured & Covered") options approval, which takes 1–3 business days.
Is this a course with videos? +
No. It's a guide — a 40-page PDF plus four bonus files. No videos, no membership site, no subscription. You download it once and keep it. The format is deliberately simple: something you can read completely on a Saturday morning and refer back to before each trade.
What's your return policy? +
Shopify's standard digital product refund policy applies. If you purchase and it's not what you expected, reach out within the eligible window and we'll sort it out. The guide is honest about what it covers and who it's for — please read this page carefully before buying.
Return on investment: A single premium-selling trade typically generates $150–$600. The guide pays for itself in the first week of using it. The compounding happens over years.
